Four Gates. One small return.

How to set intentions with a mixed crystal bracelet

For a mixed crystal bracelet, begin with one intention you want to carry into the day. You do not need a separate intention for every stone in Feltbreath’s practice. Name the intention in a short sentence, use touch to bring it back to mind, and choose one action that expresses it. The materials can hold different personal meanings within the same intention.

Start where you are.

You do not have to stay centred. You only need a way to return. The Fourfold Return is Feltbreath's shared ritual: Wind, Light, Water, Earth. Four movements through an intention, with your body and your next choice still part of the conversation.

On our core Path bracelets, four tactile Return Beads mark the Four Gates. Find them by position or touch. If you are beginning without a bracelet, you can follow the same questions with your hands at rest.

One bracelet, one intention, several meanings

A bracelet may bring together several stones, wood, shell or seed. You can enjoy each material’s character and symbolic associations without assigning yourself a separate task for every bead. The Four Gates are four movements through your intention: Receive, See, Release, Root.

For example, ‘I welcome the first clear step’ can hold curiosity, clarity and steadiness together. The sentence gives you a direction; touching the beads gives you a moment to remember it. Choose words that describe a choice you can make, rather than an outcome you need someone else to deliver.

Move through the four questions.

Wind / Receive. What am I ready to let in? Let the next easy inhale make a little room for that possibility.

Light / See. What is becoming clear? Notice one thing you can name. An unforced moment between breaths is enough; you do not need to hold your breath.

Water / Release. What can I let go of? As the breath leaves, consider one expectation, unfinished argument, or demand you do not need to carry into the next moment.

Earth / Root. What do I choose to stand in? Let your attention find the support beneath you. Name the small action that will give the intention a place in the day.

Take the ritual into ordinary life.

You might use one round before a reply, a few quiet rounds before an important moment, or a longer reflection when a chapter changes. Follow a comfortable breath and skip any pause that feels strained. There is no prize for a deeper inhale or a longer hold.

A return can be imperfect. You may get distracted halfway through and start again at Earth. The sequence is here to help you find a direction, not to give you another thing to complete correctly.

The ritual continues in what you do next. An honest answer, a first attempt, a task put down for the night: this is where an intention becomes part of a life.

Six crystal bracelet intention examples

CALL IN — ‘I welcome the first clear step.’ One Earthly Action: open the application or ask about one opportunity. First Light accompanies this intention around a beginning.

OPEN — ‘I can receive care without earning it first.’ One Earthly Action: tell someone one specific thing that would help. Quiet Bloom accompanies an intention of self-love and compassion.

PROTECT — ‘I can be warm and still name a limit.’ One Earthly Action: answer one request with what you can honestly offer. Shadow Line accompanies an intention around boundaries.

RELEASE — ‘I can let what is finished move.’ One Earthly Action: put away one object tied to a completed chapter.

GROUND — ‘I can trust one considered decision.’ One Earthly Action: choose the next task and finish its first step.

REST — ‘I can let today be enough.’ One Earthly Action: close one non-essential task for the evening.

When to reset your bracelet intention

Return to your sentence when it no longer describes what matters now: after a first week in a new role, at the end of a relationship, or on an ordinary afternoon. Ask what you want to keep, release and call in. Choose a new sentence, move through Receive, See, Release and Root, then give the sentence one action.

You do not need to replace the bracelet or wait for a particular moon phase. Renewing an intention changes the personal meaning you carry; it is not a claim that the materials have become depleted or unsafe.

Questions you may be carrying

Do I need a different intention for every stone?

No. In Feltbreath’s practice, one main intention can connect the whole mixed bracelet. Each material may have its own symbolic associations, while the four Return Beads guide the same intention through Receive, See, Release and Root.

Can I use more than one intention?

Yes, but start with one sentence if several intentions compete for your attention. You can connect related wishes under one direction, such as ‘I can meet this new chapter with curiosity,’ and choose one practical action for today.

Can I change my intention later?

Yes. You can change the meaning you give your bracelet whenever your needs change. Name what has shifted, choose a sentence that fits now, and take it through the four questions.

Can I begin without a bracelet?

Yes. Rest your hands, let your breathing stay comfortable, and move through the same four questions. A bracelet is a touchable reminder you may choose to wear; the practice can begin without one.

One Earthly Action

After one round, choose a single action you can finish today. Keep it small enough that you can name when it is done.
